Assembly, a response to CRAFT, the idea and the gallery, was a series of works made with the intent to
represent relations between pre and post-digital object fetishism and design. Inside the gallery was a 3D-
printed sculpture and a pencil drawing of a plan-view grid. The same object’s virtual diagram played on a
monitor in Craft Victoria’s store room, revealing its potentiality as digital storage.
A poster of a Ford Mustang 1967 GTA was also pinned above the work surface and outside,
the car was parked on the street, running without a driver.
